SUMMARY:Will Hall Meadow – Cutting and Weaving the Willow
DESCRIPTION:AVLAN (Alton and Villages Local Action for Nature) is holding a working party on Sunday 29th November 10.00 – 12.00 noon in Will Hall Meadow (on the Basingstoke Road, beyond the junction with the New Odiham Road) to maintain the willow hedge (“fedge”).  It’s grown enormously again this year and needs to be cut back and then woven.    Weaving the willow hedge is a very rewarding and soothing job.  All are welcome.\nGareth Hurd, chair of AVLAN, will provide guidance.\nPlease bring gloves, strong secateurs, loppers and garden saws if you have them.\nThe same morning, we will tidy up the little community garden at the Brick Kiln Lane end of Will Hall Meadow.\nMany thanks to all volunteers.\n
