Eco-Streets walk: a tour of AVLAN’s and ALFI’s community gardens and verges

CONSERVATION IN ACTION – join Scott and Sarah this Sunday, May 11th, for a circular walk along Alton’s wildlife verges and community gardens. We’ll meet at 12pm at our flagship plot at the Butts (what3words:///regal.spent.faced, at the corner of Butts Road / Borovere Gardens).
The walk will last around 90 minutes and will cover:
  • Butts Pollinator Friendly Garden & Meadow (AVLAN)
  • All Saints Pollinator Friendly Garden (AVLAN)
  • Weyside Walk restoration project (AVLAN)
  • Weyside Walk triangle (new project yet to start)
  • Station planters (Friends of Alton Station / Community Rail Partnership)
  • ALFI Station plot
  • ALFI BT plot & containers
  • Orchard House Pollinator Friendly Garden & Meadow (AVLAN)
  • ALFI Vicarage plot
  • Riverfly Flood Meadows
  • Will Hall Meadow Native Hedging (AVLAN planted)
  • Will Hall Meadow Fedge (AVLAN maintenance)
  • Brick Kiln Lane Community Garden
  • Pertuis Avenue (Road Verge of Ecological Importance – orchids)
  • Bolle Road verge project
