Eco Streets Alton

The original Eco Streets Project took place Whitedown Ward in Alton in 2022-23 (mainly funded by Hampshire County Council), and has been followed by a project reaching out to some of the new housing estates in Alton (funded by Alton Town Council), which commenced in the summer of 2023 and continues until September 2024. Eco Streets aims to empower the community to become climate literate and reduce negative environmental impact.

It uses social media, leafleting, innovative workshops, exhibitions, street parties, conversations on the street and other approaches.
