A report that is hopeful – unusual – honest – insightful – inspirational!
Long reports can seem very tedious … but here’s why you might want to find the time to look at this one.

- It’s hopeful – it describes a long-term project that was successful in activating people in the community through outreach and engagement activities, and collaboration across various local groups, with a strong focus on emotional engagement with nature
- It’s unusual – Eco-Streets was a sustained four-year community education initiative from the ground up (with some activities continuing into 2026), whereas most projects last for only a year or two
- It’s honest – it gives insights into the downs as well as the ups of community engagement. It’s not sugar-coated.
- It’s insightful –it gives in-depth insight into what it’s like undertaking awareness-raising day by day in a community
- It’s inspirational – it shows how much can be achieved with very little funding. Eco-Streets was delivered by one part-time paid person with lots of ideas, flexibility and energy.
