Will Hall Meadow – Cutting and Weaving the Willow

AVLAN (Alton and Villages Local Action for Nature) is holding a working party on Saturday 15^th November 10.00 – 12.00 noon in Will Hall Meadow (on the Basingstoke Road, beyond the junction with the New Odiham Road) to maintain the willow hedge (“fedge”).  It’s grown enormously and needs to be cut back and then woven.    Weaving the willow hedge is a very rewarding and soothing job.  All are welcome.

Gareth Hurd, chair of AVLAN, will provide guidance.

Please bring gloves, strong secateurs, loppers and garden saws if you have them.
