Hampshire Climate Action Network (HCAN) of which ACAN is a member, sent a letter to the Hampshire County Council cabinet pressing them to reconsider their soft target to reach zero emissions by 2050.

33 groups signed the letter including 6 from Alton.

Please read the letter and write to either Councillor Andrew Joy (Andrew.joy@hants.gov.uk) if you live in Alton or Councillor Mark Kemp-Gee (Mark.kemp-gee@hants.gov.uk) if you live in the surrounding villages to express your support.

We all feel that 2050 is too late.

Let HCC be in no doubt that our community demands more from our elected representatives in the face of this climate crisis.
