Over the past few months Young ACAN has been working on a very special project with 7 of its partner schools, in collaboration with animator, Flossy Waters.  The Tale of the Waste Beast started out as a competition following Young ACAN’s January schools’ ‘Treasure Not Trash’ Conference.  Entries from 19 primary-aged children were selected as winners, with their words and ideas collated into Flossy’s animation which was premiered at a special launch party at Goldfinch Books on 23rd October 2025.
