Bolle Road Wildflower Verge Working Party

Scott Gudrich and Jenny Griffiths would welcome lots of volunteers on Sunday 25th January at 10.00 am for a couple of hours to prepare the Bolle Road verge for the year ahead.  We’ll pull out as much of the grass as we can by hand and then scatter seeds harvested by Scott from the verge in the summer of 2025.

You will need gardening gloves, a trowel and/or hand fork, and your knees might appreciate a kneeler pad!  If you have a rake and/or a large garden fork, do bring that as well.

This verge runs alongside the boundary of the Butts Primary School.   It was developed as part of ACAN’s Eco-Streets community outreach work programme, which is now formally concluded – but we don’t want to lose the wildflower verge!  Nor do the pollinators that it attracts!
