Greening Alton at Alton Library’s Green and Thrifty Fortnight
Jenny from ACAN will have a table at Alton Library on Tuesday 18th February from 10.00 – 12.30 pm to chat with visitors about Greening Alton, during Hampshire Libraries’ Green and Thrifty Fortnight which runs from Saturday 15th February to Saturday 1st March (with lots of activities for families).
Greening Alton was launched at the equivalent event in February 2024. ACAN’s group Alton and Villages Local Action for Nature aims to inspire a movement across the town to map and link green spaces to help nature recover, and encourage even more people to garden with wildlife in mind. There are now over 90 green sites on the online map which has had over 7,400 views (as at end December 2024).
