This video is a 3.5 minute talk from James Gomani, the (unpaid) Finance and Operations Manager for the Permaculture Community Training Centre that ACAN supports as our climate justice project in Gumbi, Malawi.
James explains how two thirds of the population in Malawi faces food poverty. Inflation is a staggering 25-30%. The way forward is community development and great progress is being made. The Permaculture Community Training Centre is now a registered social enterprise in Malawi. The PCTC team are determined, through training courses and outreach support from the demonstration farm, to ensure that the community has plenty of nutritious food every day.
We always need your financial support to assist in the development of PCTC. Irrigation is a particular priority. Go to the donate section on this website if you are able to help. Thank you. Every Malawian kwacha counts!
