On Sunday 12th April, ACAN Committee member Patrick Busby completed the Brighton Marathon to raise funds for our environmental justice initiative, the Gumbi Permaculture Community Training Centre in Malawi.

It’s a tremendous achievement – “mission accomplished”, as he said.

Patrick raised over £3,500 for solar water pumps for irrigation, which will increase crop yields and lift farmers out of food poverty.

James Willis, Lesley Willis and Jenny Griffiths had an enjoyable trip to Brighton to support Patrick – see photos.
