The GAPP demonstration farm has been buzzing with activity over the last few weeks, growing organic crops, making huge amounts of compost, fencing the whole site, and installing solar power across the site and especially for our leading-edge solar-powered kitchen. It is all very exciting.

The photo above shows the GAPP team of six with their completion certificates from a 7-day “Training the Trainer” course with Luwayo and Grace Biswick at the Permaculture Paradise Institute. The team are optimistic that the first training course at GAPP for local farmers in the Gumbi area will offered in July or August – and a major goal of the GAPP project will have been achieved.
As you know, we have no administrative overheads, as all the management in the UK and in Malawi is undertaken by volunteers, so all your money goes directly to support the development of sustainable farming in the Gumbi villages.
